Galvanized steel (GI) is carbon steel coated with zinc to provide long-lasting corrosion protection and durability. Produced through the hot-dip galvanizing process, the steel is submerged in a bath of molten zinc, creating a tough metallic coating that seals out moisture and shields the base steel from rust. The zinc layer also provides dependable edge and surface protection, extending the life of the steel even in exposed conditions. A distinctive spangled finish gives galvanized steel its clean, recognizable appearance.

Known for its strength, economy, and consistent performance, galvanized sheet and coil from Victory Metals are trusted across the Pacific Northwest for use in construction, roofing, siding, HVAC, and general fabrication applications. Custom sheet and coil sizes are available upon request to meet your exact project needs.

Specifications:

  • Specification: ASTM A653
  • Gauges: 16ga – 26ga
  • Widths: 48” – 60”
  • Lengths: 96” – 120”
  • Coating Weights: G40, G60, G90
  • Grades: 33, 40, 50
  • Finish: Regular or Minimized Spangle
  • Surface Condition: Dry, Oiled, or Chemically Treated

Galvannealed steel (GA) is produced through a dual process of hot-dip galvanizing and annealing that combines strength, durability, and a paint-ready surface. After the steel is coated in zinc, it’s heat-treated in an annealing furnace, allowing iron from the base steel to bond with the zinc coating and form a tough zinc–iron alloy. The result is a uniform, matte gray finish that resists corrosion, minimizes scratching, and delivers superior paint adhesion.

With its smooth appearance, excellent weldability, and strong forming performance, galvannealed steel is ideal for fabrication, architectural, HVAC, fencing, and other applications. Victory Metals supplies galvannealed sheet and coil in a range of thicknesses, grades, and coating weights to meet your project requirements.

Specification:

  • ASTM A653
  • Gauges: 22ga – 26ga
